19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts

A revitalized Medvedev secured his first title for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.

Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid period, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the US Open.

Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in specific - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.

Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, he has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.

This represents Medvedev's first title after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court from that period of 2023.

Victory also signifies he has secured twenty-one championships at 21 distinct competitions.

"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to get a title is particularly special," stated ranked player the champion.

"This title is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."

The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in that event earlier this year.

Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular emotional displays on court had caused observers to doubt if his capacity to play at the highest level was finished.

Yet the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an better serve.

He fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, taking 4 of the final five points to take the lead.

The pair exchanged service breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden professional title, took control to create a final set.

He saved four early-game chances in a competitive third set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to secure the win.

Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman failing to manage a return after a lengthy match.
