Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
